Regionals February 26-28th
Day 3
LHSC finishes the regional meet on a high note. Stephnaie Moran and Brittney O'Neill placing 2nd and 4th in the 200 Free was just the start of the day. The 50 Fly podium had Josh Lantow proud in the the number 1 position making an Age Group Champ time of 32.25.
Three Lightning swimmers graced the top eight in the 100 back in the 3rd (Brittney O'Neill), 4th (Stephanie Moran) and 7th (Makayla Kraus) spots.Dropping time in her 100 freestyle put Kelly Travis' hard work in the 6th place position. Lastly, finishing the morning off with a new age group champ time in the 100 IM and placing 2nd was Josh Lantow. Way the go Lightning swimmers.
Afternoon
Jake Knowles started the afternoon with a 4th place finish in the 200 Free and a 6th place finish in the 100 Free. John Goetz changed the tone and stroke by taking a 7th place finish in the Breastroke. LHSC finished the night with Jake Knowles on the podium in 8th place for the 200 IM. Way to go Lightning!
Day 2
Lockport Homer Swim Club had a great day! Leading off the morning was Josh Lantow who came from the outside and took 1st place in the 100 fly with a Age group champ time of 1:16.
Continuing on in the morning the 50 frees were moving at incredible speed. The lightning girls did not let up, all having personal bests. Brittney O'Neill achieving her first Age Group Champ time of 30.35 taking 3rd in the event with Kelly Travis on her way moving into the 5th place on the podium with her teammate.
The 50 Back was also an exciting showing of the LHSC Lightning swimmers. Again, all swimmers has personal best times. A huge highlight were the girls who stood tall in the 1st, 5th and 7th positions respectively. Brittney O'Neill achieving her Age group champ cut at a 35.86, Makayla Kraus 36.34, and Stephanie Moran 36.60.
200 IM the last of the morning events but not dull by any means. The morning group hangs in there and pulls out a 4th place finish by Brittney O'Neill and a 2nd place finish for Josh Lantow.
Afternoon
The afternoon session started with a bang with Amanda Moran taking a 6th place finish in the 500 Freestyle.
John Goetz also placed 6th in the 100 Breastroke finishing the evening out for the lightning. Good Luck on Sunday!!!!
Day 1
We started the meet off to a great start putting three swimmers on the podium in the 500 Freestyle. The four swimmers combined dropped over 2 mins in time.
Top 8 finishers were
Stephanie Moran- 5th place
Brittney O'Neill - 7th place
Josh Lantow - 3rd place
Lets continue this on the rest of the weekend. Go Lightning!

LHSC Swimmer #1 in Age Group
Amanda Moran was labeled #1 in the 100 backstroke for 13 year olds in the state of Illinois. Excellent!!!
LHSC @ Zones 2009
Jake Knowles, Amanda Moran, and Molly Knowles all participated in this summer's 2009 Zones championship August 6th-9th.
Nice Job at Conference.
